Invisalign Orthodontics
One of the newest and most exciting technologies in recent years is the introduction of Invisalign orthodontics. Unlike traditional braces that attach wires to the teeth, the Invisalign system moves the teeth with undetectable clear plastic aligners. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign translates Dr. Hollar's instructions into a series of plastic aligners. Each set is worn for two weeks, moving the teeth gradually until we have achieved the desired result. Most cases are completed within twelve months.
The Invisalign system has some very nice advantages. With the 3-D modeling, the patient and Doctor are able to preview the finished results, which gives valuable insight to future dental needs as well as accurately predicting the length of treatment. Because the aligners are clear and removable, our patients are able to brush and floss after each meal. Appearance and speech are minimally affected.
