Mark is Dr. Hollar’s husband and life-long partner in dentistry, working side-by-side with her since their marriage in 1983. A native of Illinois, Mark has a business and computer background and a B.S. degree from Illinois State University. He has helped pioneer computerized dental systems for the profession and has kept Dr. Hollar’s office at the forefront of office and dental technology. Mark takes an active role in treatment planning, treatment coordination, digital photography, lecture organization, and office administration. He attends many dental seminars around the country, lectures frequently with Dr. Hollar, and is a published author in Dental Economics magazine.

“I love my family, I love my life, and I love dentistry. I’m the luckiest man in the world!”

Another one of Mark’s major interests is the creation of dental websites. He is co-owner of www.DentalOptimization.com , where he and his partner design and implement world-class websites across the country. This website is one of their creations!

Mark’s hobbies include Texas Tech football, golf, fishing, and traveling with his family.

Mary Mitchell, Business Manager

Mary began her dental career in our office as a dental assistant in 2002 and is now our business manager and new patient coordinator. Having an excellent knowledge of clinical dentistry, a good business mind, and a caring sweet personality, makes Mary the perfect person to help answer any fee, insurance, or financing questions you may have.

“Dr. Hollar’s office has become my second family.”

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Mary was raised in Europe while her Father was in the military. After his retirement, their family moved to Arlington, Texas.  She loves taking care of her beautiful son Jaeden.

Kyla Taggart, RDH, BS,  Dental Hygienist

Kyla is Dr. Hollar’s awesome dental hygienist. Kyla began her dental career assisting Dr. Hollar in 2002, before graduating from Texas Woman’s University with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She is a dedicated, caring, and highly skilled member of our team who is an expert with the latest dental hygiene technology. She especially likes her Cavitron ultrasonic scaler, which is unparalleled in patient comfort and clinical efficacy.

Kyla and her husband Chris have two children, Lance and Tristyn, who bring them much joy. Kyla’s hobbies include working out and spending time with her family.

The friendly voice at the front desk is that of Misty Jones. Misty has a great personality and assists Mary and Mark at the front desk. After several years in retail and customer relations, she is very excited to be learning the dental profession.

Rhonda Cook, Dental Ceramist

Rhonda is Dr. Hollar’s faithful long-time dental assistant and dental ceramist. Hired after graduating from Grand Prairie High School, she has been an integral part of our office since 1983. A dedicated student of dentistry, Rhonda has attended hundreds of hours of advanced continuing education. An extremely talented and skillful assistant and dental ceramist, Rhonda’s gentle and caring attitude make her a most valuable member of Dr. Hollar’s team.

“This office is my home, and everyone here is my family.”

Rhonda and her husband Regan stay quite busy with their daughter Caylee and son Kevin. Rhonda’s main hobby is being a mom.

Andra Braswell, Lead Dental Assistant

Andra is Dr. Hollar’s lead Dental Assistant and has worked in our office since 2006.  Full of energy and always mindful of her patient’s comfort, Andra works side by side with Dr. Hollar to make sure every detail is taken care of. She is extremely motivated and talented and hopes to attend dental school one day.

Andra is from Robert Lee, Texas and moved to Arlington shortly after high school to attend UTA. She loves working out, shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her boyfriend.

Sarah Absher, Dental Ceramist

Sarah Absher is the daughter of Dr. Hollar and Mark. After studying art at the University of Arkansas, Sarah decided to put her talents in use to the family business, and she loves it! With extremely gifted hands and an artistic eye, Sarah’s goal is to become a dental ceramist and to create Porcelain Veneers for her mom’s patients.

Sarah is currently in charge of our lab operation and helps coordinate model work and the many details that go into our porcelain masterpieces.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity I have here. My work is my art and I love it”.

In her spare time, Sarah likes to spend time with her friends, golf, work out, and oil paint. Her cat’s name is Le Mouse.

Katherine Ahn, Dental Technician

Katherine Ahn is our newest addition to Dr. Hollar’s extremely talented team of in-house dental technicians. She creates our model work and diagnostic study models and helps coordinate the many details that go into our porcelain masterpieces.

Originally from South Korea, Katherine moved to the United States when she was 10 years old.  She first became interested in dentistry working for a dental implant company after graduating from Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas. She holds a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin, and is currently applying for dental school.

“After working at different dental offices, I cannot compare the level of service and care for the patient this practice has to offer. As a technician, I hope to integrate my skills and personality to become a valuable asset to this practice.”

Katherine likes to listen to music, go shopping, workout, and play golf in her spare time.

Stephanie Michaelis, Dental Assistant

We are very excited to have Stephanie Michaelis as part of our dental assisting team. Stephanie is 2011 honors graduate from the University of Arkansas, with a B.S.B.A. degree in management.  Born and raised in Arlington, Texas, she is an aspiring dentist and hopes to attend dental school in the near future. Meanwhile she is learning the ropes under expert tutelage.

“I am very fortunate to start my dental career in an office with such high standards. My experiences today will be so important to my future, and I look forward to helping our patients receive the best that dentistry has to offer!”

Stephanie loves sports and is a new parent of a little puppy named Mikey.
